ARTIST STATEMENT
Throughout my art, I am determined to confront the viewer with uncomfortability. In Western culture, we are conditioned to avoid being uncomfortable at all costs, but there is something special when you intentionally feel it. Bringing that into the light in a cultivated way is a release. Spending many of my formative years in the Deep South and Appalachia introduced curiosity about the way religion and censorship connect with modernity, specifically queer bodies.
I’m committed to exposing my world, which is full of beautiful queerness and loose gender concepts. It deserves to be appreciated.

Girlhood is one of my biggest muses. Hyperfemininity viewed through the lens of adulthood yields complex emotional works.

My art is an opening to a new world for all to see. Addressing as many human experiences as possible is crucial to me.
